The Process
Stage 1 - Free Consultation
We offer a free no obligation initial consultation to find out more about your business and what you need from a website. Whether its a new business and you don’t have a website yet or you need to develop a new one. We will discuss the different packages we offer and what would be the best solution for your needs.
Stage 2 - Proposal & Sign Off
If you want to go ahead we will send you a brief proposal and ask you to sign off on the scope of work. You will then purchase or supply your domain name details. If you don’t already have one we can advise on this.
Once this is all in place we can move to stage 3.
Stage 3 - Information Gathering
We will personally select a template best suited for your needs, offer you a selection to choose from or can custom design something for you. We will start to customise this design for you and provide guidance as to what text/images we need from you. We can help source starter images for you if needed. If you struggle with writing content we can also provide a copywriter for you at an additional cost.
While you gather this information we will get everything set-up in the platform, get the page structure designed and start building your website!
Stage 4 - Website Build
We will then build the website for you and will show you the progress we are making at different stages, the frequency of this will depend which package you choose. The Starter Packages are usually a very quick turn around whereas other websites will take longer depending how complex they are. We will create and share a project plan with you so you know when everything will be done, when we are likely to need your input and the likely launch date.
At this point in an e-commerce project, while we build, we ask you to prepare all the product imagery, details and pricing, ready for site insertion. We will train you how to add a handful of products and off you go! If you prefer we can add all content for an additional fee.
Stage 5 - Website Training
We will provide you with some basic editing training on your website which includes:
How to login
How to edit/change/add text
How to change images
How to manage any additional functionality for e-commerce (if applicable)
We do offer a separate Squarespace training training service if you need more in-depth training and can quote for this separately.
Stage 6 - Go Live!
We will ask you to test everything so you are happy with the website and how it works and get you to approve completion.
At this point you will purchase the suitable Squarespace subscription, covering hosting and ongoing tech support. This comes in a variety of tiers to suit your website functionality and is billed by Squarespace either monthly or yearly.
As Squarespace circle members we can happily provide a 20% discount on your first years subscription.
Once you new website is live we pass over the reins to you and we are removed as administrators and it’s all yours!
We offer a warranty period with all websites so you have piece of mind as it goes live that we are on hand should you need us.
